New Brunswick, New Jersey was settled pre-Revolutionary War, and was established by Royal Charter in 1730. Today, the city is a place that draws people daily. It is known as "The Health Care City" due to the medical centers located within the town. These include Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Saint Peter's University Hospital, the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Johnson & Johnson's world headquarters and many pharmaceutical companies also make their homes in New Brunswick.
New Brunswick is known for diversity in its residents, with large Hungarian and Hispanic districts. It is also the location of New Jersey's state school, Rutgers University, who hosted the country's first college football game in 1869.
